Welcome to the HTML tutorial. I won't bore you with the technobabble most tutorials start out with, after all, all you want to do is make a nice pretty webpage. All you need to know for now is that HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language and it is the most widely used markup language on the World Wide Web.
Before you begin, you have to understand that this tutorial is for those who want to code their own HTML and not use some lame web-based `builder' or a WYSIWYG [What You See Is What You Get] HTML editor such as Micro$oft FrontPage or Adobe PageMill.
Now, now, don't get scared. HTML is really easy to learn, there are only a few rules to remember. Well, buckle your seat belt, Dorothy, 'cause Kansas is going bye-bye. Break out the Notepad, SimpleText or your web-based `advanced' editor [in a separate window] and let the games begin.
