Our user group exists to provide a friendly & helpful place for Access Developers both in the UK and world-wide. We remain committed to Microsoft Access as a powerful tool to build database applications for our clients and employers. Access is not going away (despite repeated claims over many years), and neither are we! If you are in the UK and use Access, then there’s really no excuse not to join (it’s free!!); if you are outside the UK then you are more than welcome, as for £0/€0/$0 you will still be able to attend online events, and participate in our mailing list for your (and others’) benefit.

Story
We are one of the longest running community groups in the United Kingdom. Formed in 1995, we are still attracting the best talent in the UK to form a network of like-minded people who recognise the power of MS Access to deliver sophisticated business solutions with high productivity.
We no longer have an annual subscription fee post-Covid. The world has changed and we have changed with it. In-person conferences were hard to organise as last minute infections caused us to cancel a conference more than once.
To overcome that we began a series of online talk and chats which start with a presentation from a member, followed by Q&A, and then a more social chat. This site will also host videos of those talks (but not the social chat).
Now those days are over, we shall be organising in-person conferences again. We hope to announce something quite soon.
Additionally we want to capture the excellent work that everyone does on the ListServer by publishing solutions people have found to their issues as blog posts (members can choose to have an attribution, or to do so anonymously). In this way we hope to provide a more useful resource to the Access Community

OUR MEMBERSHIP
We have so many fantastic members who give their time freely to contribute at our seminars, without their dedication and enthusiasm we would not have a group. Many of our members have been with the group for over 20 years, and this means that our national seminars have the great buzz of people getting together to find out what they have been up to in the previous six months.
BENEFITS
* Participate in our private listserver
Probably the greatest benefit the group offers is our private listserver, which allows you to post questions and problems to a unique group of developers. We also have several key Microsoft personnel on the list.
FEES
* Membership Fees: Membership is now free. During the pandemic the group took the decision to switch to online meetings and end the subscription.
In 2021 we tried three times to organise our in-person events, but each time Covid issues beat us back. We remain committed to the in-person event, and will inform members once we can do so.
