Backgrounds are images that are used as a backdrop to your Web document. This ability is defined in HTML 3.0 draft specification, but is presently only supported by the Netscape Web client (all others ignore it).
To use these backgrounds, use the following tag IN PLACE OF the normal <BODY> tag:
<BODY BACKGROUND="http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/Images/Backgrounds/IMAGENAME">Where "IMAGENAME" is one of the filenames listed above the sample images below.
