I am an EPSRC postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and a Junior Research Fellow at New College.
My research is focused on the use of probabilistic modelling and machine learning for the analysis of cancer imaging data. The long term goal of my work is to integrate functional/molecular imaging of tumours with genomic profiles from biopsies using computational models. I hope this approach will improve the prediction of patient response to therapy, and ultimately shed new light on some of the biological mechanisms which underlie the development and progression of cancer.
Current research projects and collaborations:
- Analysis of DCE-MRI data and tumour biopsies in breast cancer (with Adrian Harris in Oxford, and Anwar Padhani & Andreas Makris at Mount Vernon Hospital)
- Predicting response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in rectal cancer using DCE-MRI and dynamic FDG-PET (with Fergus Gleeson and Mike Brady in Oxford)
- Analysis and modelling of Cu-ATSM PET data for the assessment of hypoxia (with Michele Saunders and Katie Wood at UCL / Gray Cancer Institute)
